Hope

“Beloved, now we are the sons of God. It does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when Jesus shall appear, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is, and every man with this hope in him purify himself even as he is pure.”

Trust in, wait for, look for, or desire something or someone, or expect something beneficial in the future. Hope is an essential and fundamental element of the Christian life, so crucial indeed that, like faith and love, it can designate the essence of Christianity.

Christ is the actual object of the believer’s hope; in his second coming, the hope of glory will be fulfilled.

Sometimes expressions of hope are accompanied by the prayer that the supplicant will not be ashamed, that is, disappointed.

Continue your work of faith and labor of love and patience in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father.

Prayer

Father unto You who can keep me from falling and presence me blameless before His glory as I hope for His return. He would say well done, my good and faithful servant and Father, that my faith and hope will not fail me before His return, as Jesus prayed for Peter that his faith wouldn’t forget him in the Name of Jesus AMEN.
